Vibrant Soundbridge

The Vibrant Soundbridge (VSB) is a partially implantable hearing aid manufactured by MED-EL (see Fig. 1). It consists of an internal part (called VORP, see Fig. 2) and an externally worn sound processor (see Fig. 3), which contains the signal processing unit and the implant’s power source. The Department of Otorhinolaryngology at MHH has many years of experience (starting in 1997) with this system. The VSB is suitable for patients with mild to moderate bordering on severe conduction hearing loss, sensorineural hearing loss and combined hearing loss.
