Welcome to the German Hearing Center (Deutsches HörZentrum, DHZ) at Hannover Medical School (Medizinische Hochschule Hannover, MHH), the world’s leading centre for cochlear implants and implantable hearing aids.
On our website you will find information about different types of hearing impairment, diagnostic measures and state-of-the-art therapy options.
Our patients benefit from our surgical expertise and our unique approach. The German Hearing Centre offers everything under one roof: new diagnostic methods and therapies for hearing impairment, extensive technical support, comprehensive care, auditory training with professional educators and speech therapists, and hearing systems at the highest international level.
The German Hearing Center gives lifelong support to all patients!
Thanks to our remote-care programme, our specialists – working with highly qualified remote care partners – are even able to provide patients with follow-up care close to their homes.
To date, about 8,000 individuals have received a cochlear implant at Hannover Medical School. Our motto is: ‘Helping people hear’. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me and my team.
